Temporary Closure of Intellectual Property Service Counter due to COVID-19

In relation to the development on the latest situation and conditions regarding the spread of COVID-19 which is increasing and also instruction from the President of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the handling of COVID-19 for the interest of public health and safety, and continuing our previous information, the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (“DGIP”) has issued a recent announcement, as follows:

• the DGIP will extend the closing time for Intellectual Property service counter until 13 May 2020;
• the DGIP will extend the dispensation time for any late filing documents which the deadline is on 23 March – 13 May 2020;
• the DGIP will temporary close IP Call Center service and switch to live chat, social media and website for consultation, request for information and complaints;
• all IP applications can still be conducted online.
