Tajikistan slightly reduces trademark registration fees
As of October 20, 2025, the National Patent and Information Center of the Republic of Tajikistan has adjusted the amount of official fees related to trademark procedures.
The fee for filing an application in black and white and conducting examination has been reduced by about 5%, from 2,748 somoni (~USD 298) to 2,604 somoni (~USD 282).
The registration fee has been decreased by 22%, from 3,733 somoni (~USD 405) to 2,910 somoni (~USD 315).
The fee for registering agreements on the transfer of trademark ownership rights and for registering license agreements has also been reduced, from 2,879 somoni (~USD 312) to 2,513 somoni (~USD 272).
At the same time, the fee for renewing a trademark certificate for the next 10 years has increased by 4%, from 3,841 somoni (~USD 416) to 3,984 somoni (~USD 432).
PUMA enforces its trademark rights in Uzbekistan
The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan received and reviewed a complaint from Puma SE (Germany) regarding the infringement of the “PUMA” trademark by a local company LLC “P.B.”.
Following an investigation, it was established that LLC “P.B.” had been offering counterfeit goods for sale that were produced using the “PUMA” trademark.
As a result, the Ministry imposed a fine of 41 million Uzbek soums (~USD 3,500) and ordered the cessation of all activities infringing upon the “PUMA” trademark rights.
