Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine fined pharmaceutical company USD 232 thousand for misleading advertising
On June 12, 2025, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine fined Delta Medical LLC UAH 9.5 million for disseminating false information about the properties of the dietary supplement "Lactofiltrum." The company claimed the product could cleanse the body, restore microflora, and improve skin condition—claims that contradict Ukrainian legislation.
The case was initiated by ORISIL-PHARM LLC, the manufacturer of a competing product, "Eliminal Gel." The Ministry of Health confirmed that Lactofiltrum’s advertising misled consumers and could have influenced their purchasing decisions. The company failed to provide evidence supporting the supplement’s claimed effectiveness.
Delta Medical LLC had previously been involved in a similar violation in 2024, which contributed to the increased fine. The company has been ordered to cease the violation within two months.
