Maria Eduarda de O. Borrelli Junqueira joined the Montaury law firm as a paralegal in 2017, became an attorney at law in 2019, and a partner in 2020.
She holds an LLM in Intellectual Property Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and her Law degree from the same University. In 2016, she studied Industrial Property Law and Copyright Law at Nova University of Lisbon, in Portugal, as part of a graduation exchange program.
Maria Eduarda represents a wide-ranging clientele, including both national and top-leading international companies. Her experience includes complex litigation cases related to patents in the pharmaceutical, telecom, agrochemical, and mechanical fields, and she takes part in all aspects of the case – from the drawing of the strategy with the client, passing through the complaint until trial.
She is also extensively experienced in trademarks and unfair competition matters, successfully representing clients’ best interests in Courts as well as in extrajudicial matters, assisting with negotiations to avoid the judicialization of disputes whenever possible.
Maria Eduarda is a member of the 5G Special Commission, Technical Standards and Technological Innovation (CEPTIT) of the Rio de Janeiro Bar Association (OAB/RJ) and an active writer on the IP field, contributing with several articles involving relevant patent subjects in discussion in Brazil.
